This policy explains how Eleven Internet Ltd (trading as blimpp) collects, uses, and protects personal data. We’ve written it in plain language because we think privacy policies should be readable, not just legally defensible.

Who we are

blimpp is operated by Eleven Internet Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered address is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Eleven Internet Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and our direct business relationships.

What personal data we collect

When you visit our website, we may collect basic analytics data such as pages viewed, referring source, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We use this to understand how people find and use our site, not to identify individuals. We do not use advertising trackers or sell data to third parties.

When you contact us by email or through a form on our website, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, email address, company name, and whatever you write in your message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to follow up on business opportunities.

When you become a client, we collect the information necessary to manage our business relationship: contact details, billing information, and any data you share with us as part of the engagement (as described in your statement of work). The specific data we access during an engagement is defined in each client’s agreement and summarised on our Trust Center page.

How we use personal data

We use personal data for four purposes: responding to enquiries and providing our services, managing client relationships and billing, improving our website and understanding how visitors find us, and complying with legal obligations. We do not use personal data for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails to people who haven’t asked to hear from us.

Legal basis for processing

Under UK GDPR, we process personal data on the following bases. For client engagements and business enquiries, we rely on legitimate interest — specifically, the interest in providing our services, responding to people who contact us, and managing our business relationships. For billing and invoicing, we rely on contractual necessity. For website analytics, we rely on legitimate interest in understanding how our website is used, balanced against the minimal privacy impact of anonymised analytics data. Where we are required to retain data for tax or legal purposes, we rely on legal obligation.

Data shared during client engagements

Our client engagements often involve accessing publicly available data (such as social media content and search engine results) and client-provided marketing analytics (such as search console data, website analytics, or CRM summary exports). This data is used solely for the purposes defined in the client’s statement of work and is subject to the data handling controls described on our Trust Center page. We do not access, store, or process our clients’ end-user personal data, payment information, or protected health information unless explicitly agreed in writing.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data to anyone. We share data only where necessary to operate our business: with our hosting and email providers (to deliver our website and communications), with our accounting software (to process invoices), and with professional advisors (accountants, lawyers) where required. All third-party services we use are selected with data protection in mind and are based in jurisdictions with adequate data protection standards.

International transfers

blimpp is a UK company and our primary data processing takes place in the United Kingdom. Some of the third-party services we use (such as email and cloud hosting providers) may process data in the United States or other countries. Where this is the case, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the provider’s participation in recognised data protection frameworks.

How long we keep data

We retain enquiry data for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless the enquiry leads to a client relationship. Client data is retained for the duration of the engagement plus 30 days, after which it is deleted upon request. Billing and financial records are retained for 7 years as required by UK tax law. Website analytics data is retained in anonymised form and is not linked to identifiable individuals.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate data, to request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements), to object to our processing of your data, and to request a portable copy of your data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at admin@blimpp.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies required for the site to function and, where applicable, analytics cookies to help us understand how visitors use the site. We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing pixels, or cross-site tracking. If we use analytics cookies, they are configured to anonymise IP addresses and do not collect personally identifiable information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. We will not materially reduce your rights under this policy without notifying you.
